Many have watched viral footage showing a Sittingbourne woman, Maureen, being mugged and robbed of her handbag. The incident sparked widespread concern for her wellbeing.

Thankfully, Maureen is safe—just a little shaken. Despite the ordeal, she’s determined no scoundrel will get the better of her. When friends and strangers offered to repay her losses, Maureen refused.
“She wouldn’t ever accept this,” said her friend Lucy Foster.
Rallying Support for the NHS
Instead, Maureen and her family have urged people to donate to the NHS. They want to give back to the frontline heroes battling Covid-19.
Lucy Foster added, “She’d like any donations to go to the NHS for all the care and support they are giving during the pandemic.”
