Electrical Fault Sparks Fire at Popular HS Diner in Eastbourne

A suspected electrical fault ignited a fire in the basement of the beloved HS Diner today, sending emergency crews racing to the Eastbourne eatery.

Firefighters and Engineers Rush to Contain Blaze

Thanks to the lightning-fast response from local firefighters and engineers from UK Power Networks, the blaze was quickly brought under control. All staff and customers were evacuated safely, with no injuries reported.

“A big thank you to the incredible fire crew and UK Power Networks who came out to us today after a suspected electrical fault caused a small fire in our basement,” the HS Diner team posted online.

Damage Under Review as HS Diner Plans to Reopen

The diner is now carrying out full safety inspections and damage assessments before reopening. HS Diner promised to keep customers posted with a reopening date as soon as possible.
