Test Valley Goes Green for the Queen!
Test Valley Borough Council teamed up with volunteers and community groups to clear almost 200 bags of rubbish, half a tonne of green waste, and half a tonne of fly-tipped rubbish during the recent Clean for the Queen event.
Nationwide Litter Pick Marks Her Majesty’s 90th
The campaign, launched by Keep Britain Tidy and Country Life magazine, ran from 4 to 6 March. Across the UK, 250,000 people took part in a massive litter clearance to celebrate the Queen’s milestone birthday.
Communities Rally in Romsey, Andover & Beyond
In Test Valley, residents, councillors, and volunteers tackled litter hotspots in Romsey, Andover town centre, Wellow, Ampfield, and Picket Twenty. The council supplied all the litter-picking gear and handled waste collection and disposal.
Council Cheers Community Spirit
“I was so pleased to see so many people helping with the litter pick. There was a great atmosphere and everyone seemed to have fun taking part. I hope we did Her Majesty proud,” said Environmental Portfolio Holder Councillor Graham Stallard.
