Christmas Food Recall Chaos Hits Tesco, Aldi, Morrisons, and Waitrose
Shoppers beware! As Christmas looms, top UK supermarkets have rushed out urgent recalls on popular festive products. Safety fears mean you should ditch these items NOW and head straight back for a full refund — no receipt needed.
Tesco’s Christmas Dinner Blunder
- Cooked Beef Slices (125g, pack of 10) – Faulty use-by date, showing January 24 instead of December 24
- Red Cabbage and Apple (300g) – Mislabelled, use-by date says December 29, not December 11
Tesco urges shoppers to return these immediately for a refund.
Morrisons and Aldi Recall Garlic and Party Food
- Morrisons: 75g crushed garlic tubes recalled due to missing preservative ingredient, risking bacteria growth. Use-by date October 19, 2025.
- Aldi: ‘Let’s Party’ Vegetable Bao Buns withdrawn after undeclared duck meat and sesame found — serious allergen danger!
Waitrose and Dunnes Warn of Contaminated Supplements and Cheese
- Waitrose: ZOE’s Daily 30+ 7 Day Supplements pulled for metal shards and small stones contamination.
- Dunnes Stores (Ireland): Multiple Wicklow cheeses and Simply Better Irish Brie quiche recalled over possible Listeria contamination.
The Food Standards Agency warns: “Listeria symptoms include flu-like illness, fever, and possibly meningitis. Pregnant women, the elderly, and those with weak immune systems must avoid these cheeses.”
