Regal Snaps of King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla Unveiled
New portraits captured in Buckingham Palace’s iconic blue drawing room reveal King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla at their majestic best. Photographer Hugo Burnard nailed the perfect regal vibe with the couple posing side by side in front of a 1911 portrait of King George V. Both rock striking blue outfits — Camilla in a chic wool crepe coat dress, Charles sharp in a blue Anderson and Sheppard suit.
Individual Shots Oozing Royal Elegance
The collection also features stunning solo portraits of the King and Queen Consort. Charles sits proudly in a classic 1829 giltwood armchair, while Camilla exudes grace seated in a matching 1812 piece. These shots perfectly capture their poised, dignified aura — pure monarchy on display.
Exclusive Coronation Partition Revealed
Alongside the portraits, a brand-new partition set to be used at the coronation ceremony has been unveiled. Designed by painter Aidan Hart, this spectacular screen pays tribute to the Commonwealth’s unity with intricate embroidery.
- The main panel showcases a majestic tree, each leaf bearing the name of one of the Commonwealth’s 56 member states.
- Inspired by the Golden Jubilee stained glass window at St James’s Palace, the design depicts the “family of nations” as a flourishing tree.
- The partition will enclose the King on three sides with a central screen flanked by two smaller panels, adding a royal flourish to the historic event.
