New Lead in Nicola’s Disappearance as Police Hunt Missing Woman Near River Wyre

Could Nicola Have Left the Area?

Just hours after admitting Nicola might have left the area during her dog walk, police remain baffled. Her partner recently visited the spot where she was last seen 12 days ago. Lancashire Police Superintendent Sally Riley revealed it’s still a possibility Nicola took a path not covered by CCTV cameras. However, she stressed that so far, all criminal suspicions have been ruled out.

Dashcam Hunt Underway

The mysterious path crosses the main road through the village of St. Michael’s on Wyre. Officers are scrambling to collect dashcam footage from 700 drivers who passed the area around 9.20am on January 27. Detectives hope this footage could provide crucial clues about Nicola’s last movements.

Experts Cast Doubt on River Theory

Sonar searches in the River Wyre have so far yielded no sign of Nicola. Paul Faulding, head of underwater search specialists Specialist Group International (SGI), believes she may not be in the river at all. He warned there could be third party involvement in her disappearance, sending shockwaves through the investigation.
