M20 Shut Both Ways Over Mental Health Scare
The M20 motorway between junctions 10 and 11 is completely closed in both directions tonight, Saturday 18th June 2021. Police intervened after several concerned motorists reported a person in distress, believed to be experiencing a mental breakdown.
The lockdown began just after 8pm, bringing traffic to a grinding halt between J10 near Ashford and J11 by Westenhanger?src=hashtag_click" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Westenhanger.
Emergency Services on High Alert
Kent Police, Ambulance crews, and National Highways Traffic Officers are all on scene handling the incident. The priority is the safety and well-being of the individual involved.

- Exit M20 at Junction 10 onto the A20 eastbound towards Folkestone
- Stay on the A20 until Junction 11
- Rejoin the M20 at Junction 11
London-bound Drivers
- Exit M20 at Junction 11

- Rejoin the M20 at Junction 10
