M26 Crash Chaos: Two-Vehicle Smash Closes Both Directions
A crash involving a pick-up truck and a lorry has shut the M26 eastbound between the M25/A21 and Junction 3 (M20) in Kent.
Westbound lanes are also closed around Junction 2A. Drivers are forced to divert using the roundabout exit and entry slips.
Long Delays and Diversions in Place
Kent Police will keep the carriageways closed all afternoon to investigate the collision.
Motorists heading anti-clockwise on the M25 aiming for the M20 should continue to Junction 3 (Swanley Interchange) and use the roundabout to join the M20 instead.
Expect Massive Tailbacks Near Swanley
Heavy congestion stretches over 6 miles on the M25 anti-clockwise approach to the closure. Drivers are urged to allow plenty of extra journey time this afternoon.
