Serious Crash in Newton Abbot: Police Hunt Witnesses
Police are urgently appealing for witnesses after a nasty collision in Newton Abbot on Tuesday night, May 24.
Crash Details: Motorbike and SUV Collide
At around 9.20pm, a Honda motorbike and a Kia SUV smashed into each other on Ashburton Road. Emergency services, including ambulance, fire crews, and county highways officers, rushed to the scene.
Two men were injured. The motorbike rider, a local man in his 40s, suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Derriford Hospital. The Kia driver, a man in his 60s from Torquay, had minor injuries and was treated at Torbay District Hospital.
Road Closure and Police Appeal
The road was shut until midnight for investigation and vehicle recovery.
