Chaos on the A22 Eastbourne Road outside East Bysshe Showground has forced organisers to pull the plug on tomorrow’s Lingfield Rocks event. The tribute acts extravaganza, billed as one of the UK’s best, is scrapped after a major incident was declared at 6pm.
Complete Events Management & Touring said, “We can’t express how upset we are about this decision, but the safety of our customers is paramount. We’re working closely with authorities to keep everyone safe.”
Ticket holders will get full refunds through their point of purchase.
Road Closures and Travel Warning
Surrey Police have shut roads near the A22 Eastbourne Road in Blindley Heath. They urge the public to avoid the area entirely.
Officials have also warned ticket holders for today’s music event at East Bysshe Cross Country Course and Showground not to travel. No more attendees will be admitted to the site.
