Thieves Rob Outboard Motors from Gosport Marina during storm Katie

In the early hours of Monday 28th March 2016 (the night of storm Katie),thieves broke into Gosport Marina Drystack compound and removed two Yamaha 300HP Outboard Engines from two Rigid inflatable boats stored on the stack. The incident occurred in the early hours of Bank Holiday Monday between midnight and 3am in the area of Mumby Road and Harbour Road. It is believed a high sided white panel van was used – possibly a Mercedes Sprinter or Volkswagen Crafter. Police are asking if you saw anyone acting suspiciously around the Marina during the bank holiday weekend paying attention to the vessels on the drystack? Please ask around friends and family in the area – was someone walking back from a night out who may have noticed something odd around Gosport Boatyard?
