Three Injured After Building Collapse Shuts Down Reading Street

Three people have been rushed to hospital after a building collapsed on Garrard Street, Reading, on Thursday morning.

Chaos on Garrard Street

At 11.19am on 1 August, the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a collapsed structure. Garrard Street remains closed, alongside the nearby NCP car park, which is blocked off to both pedestrians and vehicles.

Emergency Services Respond

Three injured individuals received urgent treatment at the scene before being taken to Royal Berkshire Hospital. The rescue effort is being bolstered by an Urban Search and Rescue Team from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Authorities have urged everyone to avoid the area until further notice to allow rescue operations to continue safely.
