Tragedy on Ilford High Road: A person has died following a medical emergency this afternoon, sparking a major emergency response and road closures.

The drama unfolded near Sainsbury’s Local just before 1pm on Tuesday, April 23. At least two police cars and six London Ambulance Service (LAS) vehicles raced to the scene after calls came in at 12.46pm reporting someone was unwell.
Tragic Death Despite Rapid Medical Aid
Despite a swift response involving an ambulance crew, clinical team manager, paramedic in a fast response car, and an incident response officer, the patient was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a clinical team manager, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer. Police Investigation and Road Closures
The area outside Sainsbury’s was immediately cordoned off by police, with officers still holding the scene as they investigate. The identity of the deceased has not been released, and there’s no word yet on whether the death is suspicious.
Traffic has been heavily disrupted all afternoon due to the partial road closure. Authorities are urging people to avoid the area if possible.
