The victim, identified as Daniel Minerva, was tragically thrown from the bus during the crash, according to Empress EMS chief Daniel Minerva. Details about the deceased have not been released.

The bus was ferrying Farmingdale High School students from Long Island to a band camp in Greeley, Pennsylvania. The accident happened early afternoon when the vehicle left the road and landed on its left side. Photos from the scene reveal severe roof damage.
