Scooter Chaos at Folkestone Central Halts Trains

Train services ground to a halt at Folkestone Central after a scooter plunged onto the tracks just after 12:30pm on Wednesday, 23 March 2022.

The incident saw emergency crews rush to the scene, treating a man who had fallen onto the platform. All trains to Dover and Ashford have been suspended amid the disruption.

A Southeastern statement said: “Trains are unable to travel through Folkestone Central due to emergency services responding to an incident at the station. Services will be disrupted until the incident is resolved.”

Ticket Swap Offered Amid Delays

Passengers hit by the chaos can use their train tickets at no extra cost on Stagecoach buses:

  • Route 10: Ashford to Folkestone
  • Route 102: Folkestone to Dover
