Tragic Fareham Mum of Three Dies on M27 Bridge

Heartbroken family and friends have paid tribute to Lucy Page, 32, after the beloved Fareham mother of three tragically lost her life on the M27 motorway.

Sunshine Mum’s Life Cut Short on Town Bridge

Lucy, known locally as a bubbly soul and the life of every party, walked onto the Downend Road Bridge over the M27 on Tuesday, December 15th. Her body was later discovered in lane two of the westbound carriageway just after 1.30pm by police.

Emergency services rushed to the scene. Despite frantic efforts from paramedics and an emergency doctor, Lucy was pronounced dead at the scene.

M27 Scene Shut Down in Serious Incident

Police closed two lanes of the M27 for five hours as forensic teams gathered vital evidence. Several heavy goods vehicles were examined as officers continue to investigate the “serious incident”. Specialist police are working closely with Lucy’s devastated family.

Tributes Pour in for Beloved Mum

Stepdaughter Abigail Cunningham said, “Lucy was the most amazing step mum and friend. She was the best role model I could have asked for. Lucy had an infectious smile and a gorgeous personality to match. I know she will always be with us and watching over us.”

Neighbour Vicky Hill added, “Everyone on Westend Estate is in shock and so sad for her family and poor children. RIP beautiful lady, always gone but never forgotten.”

Family friend Holly Meader recalled, “We were always laughing and joking. We used to go to the youth club and the beach together. Lucy was beautiful inside and out.”

  • Sue Law: “I watched her grow up into a beautiful young lady. One of the nicest people I know. RIP, my thoughts are with everyone.”
