Urgent Search for Missing Sunderland Teen Emily Rhodes
13-Year-Old Disappears Again Just Days After Last Vanishing
Northumbria Police have launched a desperate appeal to find Emily Rhodes, a 13-year-old girl missing from Ashbrooke, Sunderland. She was last spotted at 3:30pm on Sunday, April 20. Alarm bells are ringing as Emily vanished just two days earlier in nearby Ryhope.
Emily is described as white, about 5ft 4ins tall with a medium build. She has brown eyes and shoulder-length brown hair with distinctive blonde highlights at the front. When last seen, she wore a grey jumper, black hooded bodywarmer, black leggings, and black trainers.
Known to Roam Between Cities
Police say Emily often travels to Newcastle and Durham city centres and frequently uses local public transport. This means she could be moving around familiar spots, making the search wider and more urgent.

“We’re asking anyone who may have seen Emily or who might know where she is to please get in touch with us as soon as possible,” said a police spokesperson. “Any information, no matter how small, could be vital in helping us find her quickly and safely.”
