Young Man Stabbed to Death in Westminster – Police Hunt Fleeing Suspects
Detectives from the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC) have launched a murder probe after a man was fatally stabbed in Westminster. Police were called to Elmton Court, Cunningham Place NW8, at 6.15pm on Thursday, 28 March following reports of an attack.
At the scene, officers found a man in his early 20s with stab wounds. Emergency services gave urgent treatment before rushing him to hospital, but he sadly died.
No Arrests Yet as Police Rush to Find Attackers
The suspects fled the scene and remain at large. Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward. Commander Simon Rose said:
“A man has lost his life in violent circumstances and we are working to identify the perpetrators as quickly as possible. Officers remain in the local area talking to residents affected by this tragic event.”
Community Reassured – No Link to London Central Mosque
Officers have been in close contact with the London Central Mosque throughout their investigation. They confirmed that Friday prayers will continue with minimal disruption. Commander Rose added:
“We do not believe the incident is connected to the mosque and it is not considered terror-related. Local officers will remain visible to address any concerns.”
