Man Charged with Murder of Missing Woman in Staffordshire
Detectives have charged Michael Stirling, 32, with the murder of 28-year-old Samantha Eastwood. The grim arrest came after Samantha’s body was found in rural Caverswall on Saturday, 4 August. She had been reported missing a week earlier, on Friday 27 July.

Stirling, from Cromer Road, stoke-on-trent/" title="Stoke-on-Trent" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Stoke-on-Trent, is set to appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates Court tomorrow morning (Monday 6 August).
Two Others Released on Bail
Two men, aged 60 and 28, initially arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, have been released on conditional bail as investigations continue.
Post-Mortem Ongoing
A post-mortem has been carried out on Samantha’s body, but further tests are pending to establish the full circumstances of her death.
