Urgent Appeal as Elderly Man Vanishes Near Northfleet

Northfleet residents are being urged to check dash cams, private CCTV, and outbuildings. Police are hunting for 82-year-old Anthony “Tony” Brown, who mysteriously disappeared after arriving by train.

Last Seen on Train to Northfleet

Mr Brown was last spotted boarding a train at Higham station at 4.50pm, arriving at Northfleet at 5.02pm on Thursday, 18 January. Officers believe he might still be in the Northfleet area but are not ruling out that he caught another train.

Description and Whereabouts

  • White male, 5 feet 10 inches, medium build
  • Balding grey hair, grey/blue eyes
  • Wearing grey trousers, brown shoes with white socks, burgundy jumper, long checked beige coat
  • Using a metal walking stick

Mr Brown, originally from Reading, was in Kent after his car broke down on the M25. Following this, he travelled from Higham towards Northfleet station.

Police Plead for Public Help

“We are very concerned about the welfare of Mr Brown and are continuing to search for him,” says North Kent Inspector Jamie Little.

“The station would have been busy around that time, with people travelling home from work, so we hope someone may remember something.”

“Please report any information you have, no matter how small, as it could be vital in finding Mr Brown.”

Mr Brown also has links to Woodley in Berkshire, Richmond in London, and may have travelled to Surrey.
