Woman fights for life after horror A346 crash near Marlborough
Multi-vehicle smash leaves one critically injured
A woman is in a life-threatening condition after a nasty multi-vehicle collision on the A346 Salisbury Road near Marlborough. The crash happened at around 1:15pm on 21 January.
A lorry heading towards 1 had stopped to make a right turn at Browns Farm. Three vehicles queued behind it, slowing down. Suddenly, a Kia Sorento smashed into a van at the back of the line. The force pushed the Kia across the road, where it collided with an oncoming car.
Serious injuries for elderly Kia passengers
The driver and front passenger of the Kia, both in their seventies, suffered severe injuries. The woman remains in a life-threatening state, while the man is also seriously hurt and is receiving hospital care.
Police launch appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage
Wiltshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Team (SCIT) is urgently asking anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward. This could be vital in understanding how the smash happened.

Road closures cause major disruption
The A346 was shut for several hours as emergency crews and investigators worked at the scene, causing significant travel chaos. Wiltshire Police thanked the public for their patience and cooperation during the delays.
