Collision shakes up Markhouse Road
A woman was taken to hospital this morning following a collision on Markhouse Road, Walthamstow. The smash happened just after 10.40am near Ringwood Road on Thursday, March 28.
Emergency teams from the Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene. Paramedics treated the injured woman before rushing her to hospital as a priority. Her current condition remains unknown.
London Ambulance Service responds swiftly
“We were called at 10.41am to reports of a road traffic collision on Markhouse Road, Walthamstow,” a London Ambulance Service spokesperson said. “We sent an ambulance crew and a paramedic in a fast response car. The woman was treated at the scene before being transported to hospital as a priority.”
Road closures and bus diversions hit local commuters
Markhouse Road is currently shut both ways between Ringwood Road and St James Street, near South Grove, while authorities investigate. Several bus routes, including the 58, 158, and W19, are on diversion.
Motorists are warned to find alternative routes and expect delays.
