Knife-Wielding Thieves Snatch VW Polo in Sea Street Carjacking

Victim Held at Knife-Point

At around 10.30pm on Sunday 4 April 2021, a man in his 20s was targeted after parking his blue VW Polo in Sea Street. Two men approached him, and one pulled a knife, forcing the victim to hand over his car keys. The suspects then drove off with the vehicle.

Quick Police Action Leads to Arrest

Kent Police tracked down the stolen Polo within 30 minutes in Gravesend. A 45-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of car theft and reportedly driving under the influence of drink or drugs. She has since been released on bail until 26 April.

Suspects Described

  • Both men are white.
  • One about 5ft 9in, wearing a dark hooded top.
  • The other about 5ft 6in, in a black jacket.
