Chaos erupted at around 8:13am this morning when emergency teams scrambled to a serious road collision at the junction of Kent Avenue and New Road (Old A13) in Dagenham. A woman was left pinned beneath a vehicle after being struck, sparking a desperate rescue mission.
Firefighters Join Rescue Effort
Police and the London Ambulance Service (LAS) quickly arrived on the scene after reports of the trapped female pedestrian. Firefighters were also called in to help free her from under the car as crews battled the clock to save her.

The woman’s injuries are currently unknown. Police have sealed off the area and are conducting enquiries while traffic is being diverted. Motorists are urged to avoid Kent Avenue if possible.
“Officers are currently attending a serious road traffic collision at Kent Avenue in Dagenham, where a female pedestrian was trapped under a vehicle. Emergency services remain at the scene and enquiries are ongoing,” a Metropolitan Police source confirmed.
