Biker Dies in Fatal New Forest Collision

One of the motorcyclists involved in a collision in the New Forest on Friday has died Police have revealed Officers were called to the B3054 Beaulieu Road, between Hilltop and the Heath roundabout, at 7.10am to a collision involving two motorcycles. Both motorcyclists, a 29-year-old man from Fareham and a 48-year-old man from the New Forest, suffered life-threatening injuries and were taken to Southampton General Hospital. The 29-year-old motorcyclist, Janek Szarzynski, of Elmhurst Road, Fareham, died later that evening in hospital. The 48-year-old rider remains in a critical but stable condition. Sgt Mark Furse, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed this collision on Friday morning. “There were several vehicles around at the time of the incident so if you have not yet spoken to us, please get in touch as you may have information which could assist our investigation.” Anyone with information is asked to contact Sergeant Mark Furse on 101, quoting 44170052732, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
