BMW Motorrad Fires Up for 2025 WorldSBK Season with Star Duo
BMW Motorrad Motorsport is gearing up for a thrilling 2025 FIM Superbike World Championship campaign. The ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team has just signed two top riders: Turkey’s Toprak Razgatlioglu and the Netherlands’ Michael van der Mark. The high-octane pairing aims to roar BMW to the top of WorldSBK glory.
Powerhouse Pair Ready to Dominate
Marc Bongers, Sporting Director at BMW Motorrad Motorsport, couldn’t hide his excitement. “We are very pleased to have Toprak Razgatlioglu and Michael van der Mark, two absolute top riders, in our factory team for the 2025 Superbike World Championship. Both have proved in recent years that they belong to the best and will form a powerful duo on our BMW M 1000 RR next season.”
Van der Mark’s Fifth Season Promise
Michael van der Mark, heading into his fifth season with BMW Motorrad, brings bucketloads of skill and commitment. “I am very, very happy and honoured to continue with BMW,” said Van der Mark. “After two challenging years, it’s great the team still trusts me. We’re seeing improvements this year, and I’m confident in our team’s work, the performance of the BMW M 1000 RR, and our ongoing development. Staying with this team gives me a lot of confidence for the rest of this season and beyond.”
Toprak Razgatlioglu Joins Forces for the Long Haul
Toprak Razgatlioglu, who joined BMW Motorrad in 2024, is buzzing about the upcoming season. “It’s an honour to be part of such a prestigious team and to ride alongside Michael,” said Razgatlioglu. “I’m eager to contribute to our shared goal of reaching the top.”
BMW Motorsport Shifts Gears for 2025
In a strategic move, ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team will become BMW’s sole factory effort in WorldSBK from 2025. This follows Jürgen Röder stepping down for personal reasons, with his Bonovo action BMW Racing Team withdrawing as a factory outfit.
Reflecting on his decision, Röder said: “I will be stepping down for personal reasons from 2025 on, and consequently, Bonovo action will withdraw as a factory team from BMW. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all our loyal fans who have celebrated our successes and stood by us through tough times. Your support has been invaluable.”
Fans Brace for BMW’s 2025 Blitz
With Razgatlioglu and Van der Mark at the controls of the formidable BMW M 1000 RR, expectations are sky-high. Fans worldwide are bracing themselves for a season packed with record-breaking performances and stacked podiums. BMW Motorrad Motorsport looks set to roar louder than ever in 2025.
