Fatalities surged, nearly tripling since last week, with many deaths caused by floods and collapsing buildings.

Flood Tragedy Spreads Across China
The flooding isn’t just Beijing’s nightmare. Sichuan province in southwest China has seen seven people drown after a sudden water surge near Chengdu. Over ten were swept away, including unsuspecting tourists, sparking urgent search and rescue missions.
