Iran’s Khamenei Threatens Israel: ‘Lebanon Will Make You Regret It’
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has slammed Israel in a fiery statement, warning that Lebanon will make Tel Aviv “regret their actions.” The volatile Middle East just got a whole lot hotter.
‘Forces of Resistance’ to Decide Regional Fate
Via his official website, Khamenei hailed the “forces of resistance” – a coalition including Hezbollah, Hamas, and Yemen’s Houthis – as the key players shaping the future of the region. Hezbollah, he stressed, stands at the frontline against Israel.
“The fate of this region will be determined by the forces of resistance, with Hezbollah at the forefront,” he declared, pointing to the Axis of Resistance, the Iran-backed alliance opposing Israel.
‘Zionist Regime’ Condemned for Gaza War Failures
The Ayatollah branded Israel’s military moves as “foolish” and said Israel’s leadership—whom he called a “terror gang”—had learned nothing from its year-long war in Gaza. Mass killing of civilians, he claimed, failed to weaken resistance forces.
He added, “Now they are trying the same foolish policy in Lebanon.”
Israel ‘Too Small’ to Take Down Hezbollah
Khamenei dismissed Israel’s ability to target Hezbollah, saying the country is “too small” to inflict serious damage. “All the resistance forces of the region are with Hezbollah and support it,” he said, even as Israel reportedly assassinated a Hezbollah leader in recent weeks.
Call to Muslims Worldwide
The Iranian leader condemned Israel for killing “defenceless people in Lebanon” and blamed “short-sighted and foolish” Israeli policies. He urged Muslims across the globe to back Lebanon and Hezbollah in resisting what he called the “usurping and oppressive regime.”
Notably, Khamenei didn’t mention Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, instead focusing on wider regional dynamics and Iran’s continuing support for armed groups opposing Israel. Observers warn this incendiary rhetoric could ignite further conflict and deepen an already perilous Middle East crisis.
