16 Years On: Madeleine McCann Still Missing
Kate and Gerry McCann marked the 16th anniversary of their daughter Madeleine’s abduction with a heartfelt message on the official Find Madeleine Campaign website. “Still missing… still sorely missed,” they said.
“It’s difficult to put into words how we feel,” they added. “The police investigation is ongoing, and we are hoping for a breakthrough. Thank you to everyone for your aid – it is really appreciated.”
German Court Rejects Sex Crimes Case
The statement came just two weeks after a German court decided not to proceed with a sex crimes prosecution against a prime suspect in the case.
Christian Brueckner, who has denied any involvement, was named by Portuguese authorities as a murder suspect in June 2020. Despite this, his latest charges have hit a legal dead end in Germany.
