With the powerful theme “A Defining Year for Global Health Action,” the summit boasts over 300 speakers, including about 20 health ministers. These experts will lead crucial talks aimed at shaping future health policies and strategies worldwide.

Star-Studded Opening Ceremony Set for Tonight

The opening ceremony kicks off at 18:00 CEST and promises heavyweight speakers. German Health Minister Karl Lauterbach, Nigerian WHO Special Envoy Dr Ayoade Alakija, and UN Climate Youth Envoy Omnia El Omrani will all take centre stage.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus will join remotely, while Christina Chilimba, who leads a youth organisation from Malawi, will also address the audience. The ceremony features video messages from top-tier figures including the Prime Minister of Barbados and the Health Ministers of France and Japan.
