Woman Groped on Footpath in Waterlooville – Police Hunt Mystery Man
Police are on the hunt after a 32-year-old woman was grabbed in a shocking late-night incident in Waterlooville.
Man Approaches Woman, Gets Handsy
Just after 11:35pm on Thursday, September 15, the woman was walking along the footpath between Chaffinch Green and Eagle Avenue. A man she didn’t know suddenly appeared from behind, asked for the time, then brazenly placed his hand on her bottom over her clothes. The victim bolted away and thankfully was unharmed.
Suspect Description: Hooded Tracksuit Man
The woman didn’t see the man again. He’s described as about 5ft 8ins tall, wearing a dark tracksuit with a hood up, and speaking with a local accent. It was pouring down at the time, explaining the hood.
Police Ask Locals for Help
“We’ve been knocking on doors this morning to see if anyone else spotted this man,” said PC Wayne Tommans-Porter. “No similar reports have come in, but we want anyone with info to contact us.”
Anyone who can help identify the man is urged to call the police on 101 immediately.
