Woman raped in Tesco Underpass in Aldershot
Can you help put a name to a face…? Police would like to speak to them in connection with an investigation into the rape of a 53-year-old woman in Aldershot. The incident took place between 1.30am and 2.10am on Tuesday, July 19, in an underpass near to the Tesco supermarket in Wellington Avenue. The woman reported that two men followed her before one of the men assaulted her. Detectives from Aldershot CID have been following various lines of enquiry and are now in a position to release CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to about this incident. The first man is described as: • White • Around 25 years old • Around 6ft tall • Very dark brown and short hair • Wearing an white top, white pumps and navy blue shorts that went to just below his kness The second man is described as: • Tanned skin • Aged in his 20s • Around 5ft 6ins tall • Short dark hair • Wore dark blue jeans and a t-shirt Detective Constable Donna Free, at Aldershot CID, said: “We recognise that the CCTV images are not the clearest but we would urge anyone who thinks they recognise the men in the pictures to contact us as soon as possible. “Any information could prove vital.” Please contact Hampshire Police on 101
