A massive blaze tore through a stunning Grade II listed 16th-century farmhouse, reportedly owned by TV heavyweight David Frank. The multimillionaire media exec, famed for hits like Wife Swap and The Secret Millionaire, watched as more than 50 firefighters battled the furious flames at his £1.5 million second home.
Historic Property Goes Up in Smoke
The fire erupted around midday in the quaint village of Braishfield, near Romsey. Crews rushed to the scene after flames spread from a nearby thatched barn, quickly engulfing the red brick and timber farmhouse. Firefighters have been fighting the blaze relentlessly since 12:21pm on Monday.
Heartbreak for TV Producer David Frank
Father-of-three Mr Frank, 58, founder of RDF Media — the production company behind global hits like Faking It, Wife Swap, and The Secret Millionaire — expressed his sadness today. Speaking from the scene, he said, “I’m gutted but thankful no one was hurt.”
Mr Frank, also ex-CEO of Zodiak Media (creators of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Inbetweeners), reportedly uses the farmhouse as a peaceful retreat away from the TV limelight.
