Serious Police incident on A27 Portchester Road near Fareham
Police and Paramedics have been called to A27 Portchester Road just outside Fareham this evening to a serious incident involving a cyclist and what is believed to a single vehicle. Police have closed of one lane of the Cornaway Lane roundabout. The incident happened at around 5.10pm. Traffic in the area is light. After an hour wait an ambulance has turned up at the incident and the person has been loaded into the back of it. An ambulance spokesman said: “We were called at 17.15 to an Road traffic collision involving a pushbike and car on the West Street Roundabout “We sent a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance crew who treated a cyclist, for a back injury. “He was treated at the scene and has been taken to the QA Hospital in Cosham.”
