UPDATED:Southsea foodbar now fully reopen

Following the latest burglary in Southsea, reported on Monday morning, a bar owner has been forced to cease serving food. The break-in at HUIS bar, on Elm Grove, is the latest in a growing list of crime in the area, and saw both damage to the property and theft of the till and iPads used to take customers orders. Now, unsurprisingly the bar’s owner, Simon Docker, has had enough. “We’ve decided to cease our restaurant service at Huis from the 5th April. From this date we will trade as a bar only,” he said. “Four break-ins and a major theft in the last 6-months has made full trading unviable. We’ve seen constant criminal activity outside the venue, and despite urging the police to take action against the same faces, nothing evident has been done. “We may re-review the situation later in the year. After the 5th April we will be publishing new opening hours,” he said. Thank you to my family, our customers and our staff for your kindness and support,” Simon added.     UPDATE: we have been contacted by the owner  Simon Docker who has since reopened the venue so why not pop in and show your support we have heard the food is fab
