Southsea Bar Shuts Food Service After Latest Burglary Blow
Crime strikes again in Southsea, and this time it’s hit the local nightlife hard. HUIS bar on Elm Grove suffered yet another break-in this Monday, forcing owner Simon Docker to scrap food service altogether. The thieves didn’t just smash their way in – they made off with the till and iPads used to take customer orders, causing costly damage and chaos.
Enough is Enough: Bar Owner Pulls the Plug on Food
Simon Docker has had it with the crime wave plaguing his business. “We’ve decided to cease our restaurant service at HUIS from April 5th,” he announced. “From this date, we will trade as a bar only.”
He revealed the harsh reality: “Four break-ins and a major theft in the last six months have made full trading unviable. We’ve seen constant criminal activity outside the venue. Despite urging the police to act against repeat offenders, nothing tangible has been done.”
Future Uncertain but Hope Remains
Simon left the door open for change: “We may review the situation later in the year. After April 5th, we will publish new opening hours.” He also paid tribute to loyal customers and staff: “Thank you all for your kindness and support.”
Good News: HUIS Bar Has Reopened!
In an uplifting update, Simon Docker has since reopened the venue. Locals are encouraged to drop by and show some love – word on the street is that the food is fab!
