Cyclist Airlifted After Horror Crash at Busy Portsmouth Roundabout
A cyclist was rushed to hospital by air ambulance following a collision with a white Citroën on a busy Portsmouth roundabout.
Serious Injuries on Fratton Roundabout
The smash happened shortly after 6pm on Thursday, June 1st, at the Fratton roundabout. Hampshire Police confirmed officers from Havant’s Road Policing unit are at the scene investigating.
Road Chaos as Emergency Services Swing into Action
Paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service found the cyclist with serious injuries. After on-site treatment, he was airlifted to a major trauma centre in Southampton. The crash has left Fratton Road and Goldsmith Avenue gridlocked, with closures still in place.
Driver Cooperating with Police
The driver of the white Citroën stayed at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
