Man, 47, Arrested After Body Found in Thames at Shepperton

A 47-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder after a body was pulled from the River Thames at Shepperton, police confirmed today.

Body Discovered at 2am Along Russell Road

The grim discovery happened around 2am in the water beside Russell Road. Detective Chief Inspector Paddy Mayers said the victim has not yet been formally identified. “We are currently investigating the circumstances that led to the man being found in the river,” he said.

Police Hunt Witnesses and Clues After Mysterious Death

Officers are conducting searches and house-to-house enquiries in the area. DCI Mayers urged anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious between 10pm and 1am to come forward. “We are particularly keen to speak to anyone with information,” he added.
