A27 Overturned Vehicle causes major delays

Police have closed one lane of the A27 towards Chichester following the collision this afternoon is understood that the vehicle has overturned drivers are reporting long delays on the approach. The incident is understood to be 1 mile from Emsworth services toward Chichester and happened just after 2pm on Tuesday afternoon. Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service have confirmed one crew from Havant Fire station have been sent to the incident that involves a silver Car driven by a pensioner. The fire crew made the vehicle safe and stopped fluids from damaged the road surface. The Lane closure is likely to remain for some time to aid and assist recovery contractors to right and recover the vehicle. Sussex Police said it was called to a two-vehicle collision near to Fishbourne Roundabout just after 2pm, where one car had rolled over and minor injuries had been sustained.
