What Do Home-Start Volunteers Do?
Home-Start Portsmouth volunteers visit parents in their homes once a week for a few hours. They tailor support to what each family needs. No special qualifications needed! If you understand how tough parenting young kids can be, have 2-3 hours a week, and are open-minded and compassionate, you’re a perfect fit. Volunteers complete a preparation course, home interview, DBS check, and receive ongoing support from a coordinator.
