Man Charged with Murder Over Joanne Rand's Tragic Death

Thames Valley Police have charged 18-year-old Xeneral Webster with the murder of Joanne Rand, following a shocking attack in Frogmoor in June 2017.

Corrosive Attack Claims Joanne Rand’s Life

On 3 June 2017, Joanne Rand, 47, was splashed with a corrosive substance in Frogmoor, Wycombe. She suffered severe injuries and sadly died at Stoke Mandeville Hospital on 14 June.

Xeneral Webster from Westway, Hammersmith and Fulham, London, was charged on 26 October with one count of murder. He appeared at Amersham Court that day and was remanded in custody. Webster is due to appear at Reading Crown Court in April, with the exact location still to be confirmed.

Family Mourns Devastating Loss

Joanne, known fondly as Jo, was a fun-loving, bubbly woman with a big heart. Born in County Durham and raised in High Wycombe, she was the youngest of five sisters and cherished by all.

Jo was a proud mother to three children – Charlotte, Ryan, and Katie. The family had already suffered heartache with the loss of Charlotte in 2011, making Jo’s death all the more tragic. Katie and Ryan are heartbroken beyond words.

Jo was deeply loved by her partner Eddie, who remembers her “lovely smiling eyes” and feels lost without her. Known for her quick wit and favourite phrase “Crack On,” Jo faced life’s hardships with positivity and strength.

A social butterfly, Jo loved music, dancing, and spending time with friends. Her caring nature shone through her work at Sir Aubrey Ward in Marlow, where she was a hardworking, passionate, and beloved team member.

Joanne Rand will be remembered with love by all who knew her. Her tragic death has left a lasting void in the community and in the hearts of her family and friends.
