Armed cops flooded the streets of Newport after a BMW failed to stop for police. The white 1 Series was abandoned in the Furrlongs estate, with officers still guarding the scene.
Driver Flees on Foot After Short Chase
Cops say the driver led them on a brief pursuit around the estate before ditching the car and sprinting through nearby gardens. Backup officers have been called in to comb the area and find the suspect.
