Fire crews stop blaze from engulfing property in Carisbrooke
Two appliances from Newport and a third from Cowes have attend a fire that broke out on Recreation Ground Road on the Isle of Wight this evening. Crews where mobilised to a fire in an upstairs bedroom just after 9.20pm on Monday evening just hours after the rejection of the Isle Wight Fire service review. Crews committed in breathing apparatus used a hose reel to tackle a small fire that had broken out at the property. Due to the swift arrival of pumps from Newport firefighter managed to contain the blaze and stop it from spreading through the property. The owner of the property was treated by medics from the Isle of Wight ambulance services. .
