Police Land Rover Smashed by Youths in Poole Quay Mayhem
Dorset Police are hunting a gang of young men caught on camera jumping all over a marked police Land Rover after midnight on Sunday, April 15. The vehicle was parked at Poole Quay when the troublemakers clambered on the bonnet and roof, snapping photos as they went.
Damage Done in the Dead of Night
The damage to the police vehicle was confirmed after officers rushed to the scene. Despite a thorough search, none of the suspects were found. But the force didn’t give up.
CCTV Footage Holds the Clues
Police obtained CCTV showing five men piling onto the Land Rover while another snaps pictures of the stunt. Police Constable Bruce Murdoch of the marine section said:
“We have been carrying out a number of enquiries and have obtained CCTV showing the incident. I am releasing images from the CCTV in the hope that somebody might recognise those involved. I would also urge anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident to contact police.”
