40ft Yacht Ran Aground on Rocks and listing Badly off Egypt Point on the Isle of Wight

The RNLI Cowes Atlantic 85 Sheena Louise has responded to a request from HM Coastguard to assist a 40ft yacht hard aground on rocks at Egypt Point this evening. The lifeboat was tasked to assist the distressed yacht just before 5pm on Saturday April 28th. An update provided by the UK Coastguard operations centre in Fareham advised that: The yacht has since been refloated and has been escorted into Cowes by the Lifeboat. A Coastguard Search and Rescue team from Needles were also sen to the incident to assist.
