Croydon Stabbing Shock: 21-Year-Old Hurt in Early Morning Attack

Detectives are hunting for witnesses after a 21-year-old man was stabbed in Croydon in the early hours of Sunday, 20 May. The victim walked into a south London hospital just after 4am with a leg wound but has since been discharged.

Mass Brawl on Busy Croydon Street

Police revealed the victim and his friend were attacked by a group of 10 suspects around 3.15am on Katharine Street, near High Street. The friend was punched before the stabbing happened.

Detectives Urge Public to Speak Up

Detective Constable Chris Dimmer said: “Despite the time, this happened in a busy area of Croydon town centre. We believe there were people nearby who might have seen the incident or noticed a large group hanging about.”

He added, “We’re particularly keen to hear from motorists and taxi drivers with dash cam footage from around High Street at the time.”
