Police Hunt ‘Mobile Home Repair’ Conman in Canterbury

Officers are on the lookout for a fraudster who targeted an elderly man in Canterbury with a clever scam. The crook struck at a caravan in Woodlands Estate, Blean, between 11am and 12pm on Monday, 7 May.

Conman Claims to Replace Floors – Then Pinches Cash

Detective Constable Chris Bungard revealed the suspect posed as a mobile home repairman. He told the victim, a man in his 70s, that his caravan floor needed replacing and offered to carry out the work for a fee. Once the imposter left, the victim discovered money had been stolen.

Police Appeal for Help Identifying Suspect

To catch the culprit, officers have released a computer-generated image of the man. Anyone recognising him is urged to come forward and assist the ongoing investigation.
