Violent Burglary Shocks Woking Neighbourhood – Elderly Woman Hospitalised
Police are hunting a ruthless thief after a brutal break-in in Woking yesterday left an 80-year-old woman seriously hurt and fighting for her life.
Man Attacks Pensioner in Her Own Home
Around 5.30pm on Loop Road, a man barged into the elderly woman’s house. He snatched her handbag before launching a vicious attack that caused grave injuries.
The attacker then fled in a white vehicle, leaving the victim badly harmed and rushed to hospital.
Suspect Description Released
- White male
- Slim build
- Height between 5ft 8in and 6ft
- Light brown hair styled with curtains at the front
- Clean-shaven
- Spoke with an English accent
Police Plea for Witnesses
Detective Sergeant Adam Tatton said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for the victim who was targeted and seriously injured in her own home.”
He added that officers will have a visible presence in the area to reassure residents and assist with inquiries.
