Level Three Heatwave Warning issued by the Met Office

The Public have been advised to ‘stay out of the sun’ as the Met Office issues a Level 3 Heatwave Warning. Forecasters are warning of Heatwave conditions in parts of the UK, and have raised the alert level to 3 – one below a national emergency – because of prolonged high temperatures in The Midlands, eastern and southeastern England The Met Office is advising people to stay out of the sun and keep drinking fluids. Met Office Advice Stay out of the sun. Keep your home as cool as possible – shading windows and shutting them during the day may help. Open them when it is cooler at night. Keep drinking fluids. If there’s anybody you know, for example an older person living on their own, who might be at special risk, make sure they know what to do.
