Tragic Cyclist Death in High Holborn Lorry Crash

Police are hunting for witnesses after a fatal collision between a lorry and a cyclist in High Holborn.

67-Year-Old Cyclist Dies at Scene

Officers were called at around 9.30am on Wednesday, 15 August, to reports of a crash on High Holborn, WC1. Emergency services attended swiftly, but the cyclist, a 67-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The lorry driver stopped and is cooperating with police. No arrests have been made.

Serious Collision Unit Leads Inquiry

The Metropolitan Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is probing the incident. They urgently want to hear from anyone who was near High Holborn, especially around Newton Street and southampton/" title="Southampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Southampton Place, and witnessed the crash.
